Kate Middleton – a royal summer story
When you’re a duchess, it’s not all dreams and fairy tales because it’s not only about you. It’s about the others. So the Duchess of Cambridge must follow her royal etiquette each time she goes out in public.
If at the beginning of her marriage she was wearing affordable designer dresses, now she filled her wardrobe with a few expensive pieces from Chanel, Alexander McQueen, plus luxe jewelry items to match her demure style.
This summer she was photographed in mostly midi ensembles with silhouettes that punctuate the waist. She isn’t afraid of colors but the shoes are always neutral or black. In terms of clothing, the royal family may wear different shades depending on the country they are visiting in order to honor that nation. What you must know is that Kate always carries her clutch in front of her and not under arm.
That being said, let’s get to our top 5 favorite looks from the summer of 2017!
The Erdem blouse and skirt look so good on her. The floral print emphasizes her youthful charm. The beige patent leather sandals are a failsafe choice while the textured envelope clutch gives the appearance a modern feel.
Matching red Kate Middleton & Prince William
Kate Middleton’s light waves are perfectly in line with this off-the-shoulder red dress. The maxi design is Alexander McQueen and the scalloped heels are Prada.
This candy colored outfit is definitely sweet. The pleated neck and waist make this dress more feminine. The same detail can be found also on the pillbox hat. I like the classic chandelier earrings – they’re a sparkling contrast to the all-pink ensemble.
This retro above the knee dress by Gucci is so stylish! The almond toe pumps are not on my taste but I think she somehow wanted to have a full 60’s appearance. Kate Middleton attended the V & A Museum new entrance, courtyard and exhibition gallery opening in London.
Kate shines in this McQueen and Gianvito Rossi look. The red box clutch is the right accent in an all-white palette, since her make-up is very simple.
Finally, what’s your royal thought of the day?
