How to handle Gucci pre-fall 2017

Designer Alessandro Michele is in a flamboyant phase at Gucci. Everything he launched in the past 2 years hit success! And that’s not easy at all in these times. One must have more than experience and imagination to keep its creative director position at a major fashion house.

Tigers and dragons seem to be the symbolic guardians of the eclectic collection for pre-fall. The two Chinese-inspired elements are a statement for power. The most demure dresses are styled with logo tights or socks and have that contrasting bow at the neck. Embroidered satin jeweled boots, stirrup leggings, vintage Gucci prints – they’re all mixing in a “let’s head back to the future” movie.

Now let’s see the selection!

The Dragon satin ankle boots

This dragon embroidered satin bootie is a show stopper. These boots were not made for walking, they were designed to be admired and photographed. Would there be a person buying these and not Instagram them? I highly doubt it.

The Gucci boot features a removable crystal bow with an exaggerated design, and gold mirrored heel decorated with rows of crystals. How much for the pair? $2,980.

The Crystal embroidered mesh mask

Shown on the Fall-Winter 2017 runway, this crystals embroidered mask is one of the edgiest accessories of the season! The black net mesh has self-tie bow at the back for a fetish-y approach. Imagine it with a totally sheer gown and jewel tone thigh-high boots!

Crystal embroidered mesh maskThe Gucci pre-fall 2017 sequin bomber

OK, you can say that a bomber jacket is not such a fancy piece of clothing, but this one will change your mind. Why? First, the sequin Angry Cat on the back is a motif introduced for pre-fall and is combined with the floral appliqués – fierce! Second, the athleisure feel will update any look you want to sport. Therefore, don’t hesitate to combine such an item with retro dresses and baroque shoes.
