There are festivals built around a stage, and then there are those that understand the setting as part of the experience. Always Forever, happening at Palatul Mogoșoaia on September 4 and 5, belongs firmly to the latter category.

For its 2026 edition, the festival is expanding beyond music into something closer to a temporary lifestyle universe, where historic architecture, contemporary sound, independent design and family-friendly experiences coexist within the same landscape.

The setting is already difficult to compete with. Mogoșoaia Palace, with its distinctive architecture, gardens and centuries-old atmosphere, becomes the backdrop for two days that move effortlessly between urban culture and a laidback end-of-summer mood.

LOOKOUT FOR. A new Backyard Stage, an independent-design market curated by Hot Lagoon, a dedicated children’s area and a broader ticket structure suggest that Always Forever is increasingly positioning itself not simply as a concert destination, but as a place in which to spend an entire day.

“The most memorable festivals are no longer defined only by who is on stage, but by the world they manage to create around it.”

From Palace Grounds to Backyard Culture

The most significant addition arrives on Friday, September 4, with the launch of the Backyard Stage. Conceived as a more urban counterpart to the festival’s main stage, the new area brings together Albert NBN, DJ Matei and DJ Andu, extending the musical landscape into a second, more informal environment.

On the main stage, Friday belongs to a decidedly international, London-meets-Bucharest lineup. Skepta, AJ Tracey and JME are joined by Romanian artist Killa Fonic, creating one of the festival’s strongest urban programmes to date.
Saturday shifts the mood. Hurts headlines a lineup featuring Brooke, Combe, Jacotene, Moonlight Breakfast and Golan, moving the festival from grime and contemporary hip-hop towards alternative pop, electronic music and atmospheric live performance.

Yet what makes the format interesting from a lifestyle perspective is what happens between those performances.
Rather than treating the space surrounding the stages as merely transitional, Always Forever is filling it with smaller experiences. Hot Lagoon will curate a market of Romanian and independent creative names including Berceiou, Bimbo, Daniel Lupu, Delia Cârstea, Diana Vasilescu, Doe, Grainspot, Iulia Verza, Pretty Doomed, Ramona Manea and Surrogate Selves.

It is precisely this layering that gives the festival its character. Music becomes one element within a wider visual and social landscape. You might arrive for Skepta, discover an independent designer between sets, stop for a drink beneath the trees and end the evening looking back at the illuminated silhouette of Mogoșoaia Palace.

The contrast is part of the appeal. Historic architecture meets contemporary street culture. Monumental gardens meet DJ sets. Heritage becomes not something observed from a distance, but the setting for a very current form of urban life, not affraid of contrasts.

A Festival Designed for the Entire Day

Always Forever is also leaning into a cultural shift increasingly visible across European festivals. The audience is no longer expected to fit a single demographic.
Families are actively included in this year’s programme through a dedicated children’s area featuring face painting, drawing and creative workshops, alongside MagicSHOP, conceived as a playful world of surprises for younger guests.

Children up to and including seven years old receive free admission when accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket. Minors between seven and 16 require their own ticket and must be accompanied by an adult, while guests aged 16 to 18 can enter with a valid ticket and the required parental declaration.

Ticketing follows the same choose-your-own-experience approach. Please discover them here.
