WWD delivers a great news today: the legendary Karl has just announced a collaboration with stationary giant Faber-Castell.

Their efforts combined resulted in a Karlbox, which is practically a multi-layered black wooden box containing 350 tools for drawing and painting. Besides your usual crayons, the box set includes Polychromos color pencils, Pitt ink pens and Castell 9000 graphite pencils along with brushes, a foldable cup, erasers and sharpeners. They are all aligned and color coded in a perfect order by the hands of Karl himself.

Oh, and if you think the box resembles a Chinese wedding cabinet, that’s the spirit.

There will be only 2.500 karlboxes available and they will be a total steal, retailing for 2.500 Euros. If you’re planning a trip to one of Europe’s great fashion cities, here’s a list of shops carrying the said Karlbox: selected Faber-Castell stores, Karl Lagerfeld boutiques and Harrods in London, select department and specialty stores — including Breuninger in Stuttgart, Jelmoli in Zurich, Le Bon Marché in Paris and Gump’s in San Francisco. The launch of the box is September 19th.
