Ever since I can remember I’ve had a passion for cups – yeah, the cups you drink from. The more spectacular they are, the more personal, the more imperfect, the coffee gets better. Maybe that’s one of the reasons I love speciality coffee shops so much (besides exquisite coffee, that it). Their attention to utensils speaks to me and I can hardly wait to see what beautifully crafted cup will hold my drink next.

And as I get older I turn my attention more often than before to creators, designers, artists of the ceramic if you will. And not only for cups, but also for fillings for the rest of my kitchen cabinets. And since I’m so wide spread out on the subject, here are some finds I know you’ll love. With this prolonged stay at home situation maybe you’d also want to update your sets and we’ll compare notes.

Click on each of the names to get to their online shop.

#Poemi is one of my oldest loves in this area. Would buy every single item they make and their Instagram page is a great storyteller on what happens in their workshop. I do own the star cup and her sister, the moon cup, and they’re exquisite!

#deceramica will really speak to you through their delicate pieces. They seem fragile, but I’m sure they’ll sturdily comfort you each morning.

#melloncollie seems to tell a story with every piece. Just look as the “freckled” set and imagine the best tea party ever. Yours!

#micacera inserts natural themes into the limited edition collections, giving you a chance personalise the look of each meal. The blueberry spotted dishes will make their way to my kitchen, just like a charm!

#chicineta comes last, but not least, though breaking the tone set until now. If you’re in the mood for some fun lunch or want your friends to have a funny discovery at the end of their meal, here’s where you need to go!

Now, tell me, what suits you and your culinary dreams better? And be sure to support these young and talented designers, all your food and drinks will taste sooo much better!
