All designer bags, all under $500

2017 is a big year for my generation – the turning 30 moment, when you make lists of what you’ve done or what you need to do, when you assess your life or…when you start shopping for expensive items.

We’re not (yet or ever) bored of mass-market alternatives for bags, shoes or accessories, but I reckon it’s time we invest in some timeless and classy pieces. The ones we can remember fondly 30 years from now, filled daily with pens, perfumes or knick-knacks. So I made a list. They’re not all for myself, I selected different types for different tastes, but decided to be civil and keep it under $500. That’s the mark, for now! We’re gonna discuss it again, next year.

#The Carven Orsay Navy Blue Suede Round Crossbody Bag – this is mine! Yup, I’m selfish! Love the blue, love the round shape, love the suede, love the size, love the everything. I can’t tell you how bad I fell for this bag, but I think you’re getting a pretty clear idea.

#The Chloé Saddle Shoulder Bag – This could be mine as well, but I have a good, responsible friend keeping me away from all kinds of light suede. However, it is a timeless shape and I think it’s somehow very fitting for any day outfit, be it silk dresses and heels or jeans & ballerina flats.

#The 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli mini satchel – This is definitely for Miha. Right size for day & night, right color, right type of leather and most of all, the right cut & feel. Hope it gets added to cart for the big 3-0 day. Fingers crossed!
