Rejoice! There are new Chanel bags & fragrances coming soon under the one name of Gabrielle!

According to an official announcement and precious info provided by WWD, Chanel is currently working on the development & launch of two new lines: bags & fragrances, under the name Gabrielle.

This is the first new fragrance the house has created in the last 15 years, so imagine the excitement.  It is described as “abstract floral” and it will hit selected stores in June. This is what the house representatives have to say about this new addition: “We really want it to be the expression of who she was at her core as a woman whose values are so modern today…to feature who she was before she became Coco. We’ve done a lot of research with Millennial women around the world and you see very clearly they don’t want to be put in boxes. They want to live their own lives, they want to be themselves, they want to choose their destiny.”

As for the bags line, they should be arriving in stores in March. The Gabrielle bag is created as a “pillar” style for Chanel and is the first major new model introduced on the market since 2011. The bag — which comes in about half-a-dozen iterations, and in a variety of colors and materials, from classic black lambskin to exotic leathers — is to retail from $3,000 up to $33,000 for a large alligator version.

The house’s watch and jewelry division also plans to roll out Gabrielle-themed collections this year.

So that’s all for now, keep you posted and in the meantime, spend wise!
