There’s a pretty simple way to take a wall from meh to wow. Wanna see it?
This is not a DYI piece, but an inspiration piece with some shopping advice at the bottom (of course). I thought that maybe 2017’s resolutions would include some home deco so here is a trend that I absolutely love – the eclectic walls. This means combining pieces that apparently have nothing in common but brought together create a great focal piece for your living room, bedroom or office. You can add mirrors, photo frames (with or without the photos), light fixtures, art, ceramic pieces, your kids’ drawings, shells – the sky is the limit.
I love how these setups can also incorporate the big nasty flat screens mounted on the walls so if you don’t like the TV as a center piece for your living room, try matching it with some local art and small mirrors in golden frames.
Here is some great inspiration below, but the cool thing is that no two eclectic walls look the same and that these projects reflect the personality of the homeowner. If you’re feeling inspired you can click the links below to shop our favorite pieces or start digging in your storage space to see what pieces you can reinvent and hang on the wall.
And here are some colorful shopping options – many of them come from Anthropologie which is a true home deco heaven!
Enamel frames here, Colorful frames here, Light fixture here, Wall print here, Vintage music sheet here – all from Anthropologie and the Bird Round Mirror from Nordstrom here.
We would love to see how this article inspired you so don’t be a stranger!
